Natural Makeup Remover: DIY Eye Wipes

Eye makeup removers can be quite costly and sometimes if you have sensitive skin, you’ll have to choose a separate face wipe and eye wipe. Making your own makeup removers for your eyes will not only save you money, but also teach you how to make your own natural products in your home.

All you’ll need are simple ingredients that are probably already in your bathroom for this easy and simple recipe. If it works out, you might want to even give these little babies to your girlfriends as gifts!

  • a container with a snap-on lid or a glass container
  • Castille soap (preferable Dr. Bronners)
  • jojoba oil or argan oil
  • lavender essential oil
  • frankincense oil
  • fabric cotton rounds
  • glass bowl

Whether you are trying to save money, be more eco-friendly, or are trying to play a more active role in the products you use, these DIY make-up remover/baby wipes are an easy way to do all 3! 1.Decide what material you would like your wipes to be. I chose to use Charlie Banana organic cotton reusable baby wipes (they’re so soft!!) but you can make disposable wipes out of paper towels or buy any cotton cloth of your liking. 2.Once you’ve chosen what your wipes will be made of you can choose a jar that you think will fit your wipes best! I got mine from @TheContainerStore and it was only $7.99!! 3.Choose your soap! I’m balling on a budget so I am using @DrBronner pure-castile soap but if you want to splurge then definitely get the KidScents Bath Gel from @YoungLivingEO! 4.Pick your carrier oil – this is where you start to use your own oily knowledge and preference in your wipes! I chose argan oil that I bought on Amazon ($12.95) 5.Choose your oils! This is all you and there are endless combinations that you can use. For mine I used lavender, gentle baby, and frankincense! 6.Put your wipes in your jar. You can cut the cotton wipes if you think they are too big for a single use. 7.In a separate jar (I used a mason jar) measure and pour one cup of water 8.Add a tablespoon of the soap you chose 9.Add your carrier oil! It’s up to you how much you want to use, I filled the dropper up completely and just did one squirt 10.Add your oils!!! For mine I used: 10 Drops of gentle baby, 7 drops of frankincense, and 5 drops of lavender! 11.Put the lid on and gently mix. I made the mistake of really shaking it and made a ton of bubbles. 12.Pour your mixture into the jar of wipes. Huge shoutout to @LoganRandazzo for inspiring me to make my own! 💜 When you use all of your wipes just throw them in the wash and repeat! #YoungLiving #YoungLivingEssentialOils #YLEO #DIY #DIYMakeUpWipes #DIYBabyWipes #EcoFriendly #LoveYourBody

  1. First, grab all your liquid materials and place them in a bowl.
  2. Put 10 spoons of Dr. Bronners into the bowl.
  3. Add 10 drops of each essential oil.
  4. Add 5 spoons of jojoba or argan oil.
  5. Now grab your glass container with a snap-on lid and place the organic cotton rounds on top of each other.
  6. Lastly, pour the mixture into the container.

Try to use up all the eye make up wipes in a span of two weeks so they’ll remain fresh. Now you have gentle eye make up wipes that you can create over and over again!
