Must-See NYC Landmarks for Friends Fans

There are all types of tourism out there, but TV tourism is a special one of the bunch, allowing die-hard fans of a particular show to stand on the same grounds where their favorite characters and actors had often frequented.

Fans of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross should definitely check out the following spots across New York City for an ideal “Friends” pilgrimage:

Pulitzer Fountain

From the infamous opening credits; Grand Army Plaza.

The Friends apartment block

Though the apartments were actually filmed on a Los Angeles studio set, the exterior shots were based in the West Village; corner of Grove and Bedford.

Museum of Natural History

Ross’s first workplace (under the guise of the fictional New York Museum of Prehistoric History), later supplemented by a palaeontology teaching gig at New York University; Central Park West at W 79th Street.
