Chocolate has always been considered a luxury. Up until the seventeenth century, it was reserved for the elite only. People believed it was quite nutritious and healthy and it was one of the most famous aphrodisiacs.

But lately, most believe chocolate is not so good. Let’s see some of the most common misbeliefs about this delicious treat and find out once and for all which of them are not true.

Chocolate Raises Bad Cholesterol Levels

Most of the fats in chocolate come from stearic acid, which doesn’t act like saturated fats. Not only chocolate will not raise your bad cholesterol level, it can even lower it in some people.

Blame Chocolate for Hyperactivity

If you have kids, you’ve probably noticed they get hyperactive when they eat something sweet.
