Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021: Statement Looks are Back in Style

Over the past few months, we’ve been seeing a lot of the same WFH looks with sweatpants and baggy t-shirts taking center stage. But, Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021, which took place September 22 through September 28, showed us that there’s hope for brighter, and bolder pieces in our wardrobes. Here are the trends you can look forward to.

Bold Prints

The vacations we were hoping and dreaming of didn’t happen this year, but we can start planning ahead for next year. Collections featured pieces perfect for island getaways with nautical themes and tropical prints.

Color Block

We’re tired of seeing neutrals on runways and Milan Fashion Week gave us the burst of color we’ve been craving.

Sheer

When sheer is done right, it can look so classy and it’s the breezy fabric we all need during the hot spring and summer months.

High Volume

Sometimes we need a jacket to keep us bundled up during the cold nights and designers showed that oversized coats can tie a look together.

Crochet

Crochet always seems to come back into style during the warmer months and we love the boho nature of the knits and doily styles.
