Kitchen Design Trends We’ll Leave Behind in 2020

We’ve just begun 2020 and it’s time to see which we’ll take with us into the new decade with us and which ones we’ll leave in the old one. When it comes to kitchen design trends, here are three that won’t be part of our lives anymore.

Marble

While marble pattern will still be here, actual marble countertops are just too impractical to stay. They can easily scratch and stain and don’t deal with heat very well. There’s no reason to go through all that trouble when you can get countertops in other materials that look like they’re made of marble.

All-White

It’s time we finally let go of the idea of an all-white kitchen. We’re not saying there’s something particularly wrong with them, but it’s a bit boring. Bold cabinets, warm colors, and a lot of texture are all exciting ideas for a kitchen makeover.

Industrial Lighting

Industrial style has had its moment in the 2010s, but now we’re ready to move on to something lighter and softer. The purpose of kitchen lights should be to light up the room, not to draw all the attention.
