Kervin Germanier is a Swiss designer with sustainable fashion on his mind. He “wanted to be radical” and produced beautiful rainbow dresses from recycled material.

“I’ve spent almost 2 years perfecting the technique, so I was feeling pretty confident,” Germanier explained to Vogue. He is referring to his remarkable dresses and body suits which are made of tiny plastic beads and silicone. As you can see, the effect if a fabulous kaleidoscope effect.

The designer paid $10 for 93 bags of beads in Hong Kong, which were being discarded for being the wrong color. Germanier bought them back to London and turned them into something magical.

The eco-friendly fashionista is currently in the running for the prestigious ANSAM Prize. Despite his impressive achievement making it to the final, he stays humble: “It is very important to stay true to myself and let’s not forget that I am only 26 years old. I still have everything to learn.”
