Tools
This project is great because you don’t need that many tools, and there are almost no fancy techniques involved. For this coat rack, you will need several spoons, a plank of wood, a drill, and a hammer.
Method
- Take your spoons and flatten the head with the hammer.
- Drill a hole in the head so you can nail it into the wood later
- Bend the spoon around the hammerhead to create a hook shape
- Sand the wood plank and decorate or paint as you like
- Nail the heads of the spoons into the plank leaving at least 3-4 inches between them
- Your coat rack is ready!
Pro-Tips
If you don’t have enough spoons for this project, you can also use forks. You can also either leave the spoons their natural color or spray paint all of them to be cohesive.
