The dreamy and vibrant colors of autumn leaves are one of the main reasons many people love this season. But once you see the unbelievably intricate art made by Kanat Nurtazin, it’s possible that you’ll fall in love with autumn even more.
Nurtazin is a self-taught mixed media artist from Kazakhstan who is turning leaves into beautiful art by cutting intricate and realistic shapes. Popular characters from movies such as Harry Potter, Frozen, Maleficent, or Lion King are just some of many motifs you can see on his leaf art.
“Usually, it takes up to 6 hours for one leaf cutout. I’ve spent days and nights upgrading my skills. There was a time where I literally slept for 3-4 hours a day. But I can say with confidence that all my efforts were not in vain,” the artist told Bored Panda.
In only few years, Nurtazin managed to master this skill and even had the chance to collaborate with companies such as Nickelodeon and Disney on their marketing campaigns.
