Veteran center Joakim Noah isn’t a member of the LA Clippers anymore, and this will most likely mark the end of his illustrious NBA career.

Speaking with ESPN on Tuesday, Noah’s agent Bill Duffy confirmed that his client has been released by the Clippers and is probably going to retire after this.

“It’s been my honor to represent Joakim through his journey,” said Duffy.

Noah joined the Clippers towards the end of the 2019/20 NBA season, initially signing a 10-day contract. He ended up playing five games in the regular season, averaging 2.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. In the postseason, the 35-year-old center managed to collect just two appearances and average one minute on the court.

After back-to-back national championships with Florida Gators on the college level, Joakim Noah was selected No.9 in the 2007 Draft by the Chicago Bulls. In the following years, Noah established himself as one of the league’s best defenders, earning two All-Star nods while being named NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2014.

Noah left Chicago in 2016 to join the New York Knicks, his hometown team, but his time with the franchise was marked with injuries and inconsistency. He was released by the Knicks in 2018, two years into his four-year, $72 million contract.

During his time in the NBA, Noah averaged 8.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 rebounds.

On the international level, Noah represented France, the native country of his father and French Open winner Yannick Noah. His most notable achievement with the French national team is a silver medal at the 2011 EuroBasket.
