Many of us are currently working from home on a laptop and slouching over all day is wreaking havoc on our bodies. While a laptop is portable, it’s not designed for long-term use as it causes neck, shoulder, back, wrist, and hand pain. To create a more inviting and comfortable workspace, consider buying these laptop add-ons.
External Keyboard and Mouse
The laptop keyboard is definitely not the most comfortable for your hands as your forearms aren’t supported which leads to pain in your neck and shoulder muscles. Instead, get a separate external keyboard and mouse that you can move to fit your needs.
Laptop Stand or Riser
By raising the position of your screen, you’ll straighten your neck, preventing you from having to look down.
With an extra big screen, you can increase your productivity by expanding your desktop. It’s easier to work on two documents at once as you won’t have to keep switching tabs.
The best solution is to sit in an ergonomic chair, but if this isn’t an option, you can make a kitchen or dining room chair more comfortable with some cushions. Place one on the seat and another one on the back for extra support.
