How to Take Care of Your Sensitive Skin

Any skin type can be sensitive. Whether your skin is dry or oily, if you notice it reacting to touch or other forms of stimulation more intensely than other people’s skin, you’re probably dealing with sensitive skin.

Skin is your biggest organ and you need to take good care of it. How do you do this if it’s sensitive? Here are our suggestions.

Gentle Cleanser

If your skin is sensitive but also problematic and prone to acne, you may feel tempted to use a harsh cleanser. However, you’ll get the best results with something gentle, like micellar water to take makeup off before rinsing your face with plain water. There’s usually no need for a multi-step routine — the simpler, the better.

Moisturizing

Moisturizing is the key to having balanced skin. First of all, make sure your body stays hydrated from the inside by drinking plenty of water. Next, find a light moisturizer that works for you and apply it daily. You’ll start seeing the change in no time!

No Fragrance

When you’re buying skincare products, make sure they’re fragrance-free. Fragrance in products will probably give you redness and stinging and you definitely don’t want that.

Masks

Try out different masks and don’t be afraid to use a few of them at a time — one for each spot that needs different treatment. For example, if your t-zone is oily but your cheeks are on the dry side, you’ll want to combine two different masks.
