When packing for a plane ride, it can be hard to decide what you’ll want access to during the ride. The idea of not being able to get to your stuff during a trip can be stress-inducing, but it doesn’t need to be. Most of the time we pack more than we need instead of less. Here’s how to pack the perfect carry-on.
Valuables
First and foremost, keep valuables like nice jewelry and electronics with you. We tend to rely heavily on our laptops and tablets, so it’s best to always have these on you in case you need them. Don’t forget to keep the chargers, too. On the off chance that you run into trouble getting your checked bag, your irreplaceable won’t be in jeopardy.
Clothes
For the same reason, you may want to pack a change of clothes (or at least some socks and underwear) in case you’re stuck without your suitcase for longer than you expect. Be sure to keep any medicine you may need on you as well.
Comfort and Entertainment
Beyond these essentials, the rest of your space can be used for comfort and entertainment. Especially for longer flights, pack something to do that doesn’t rely on electronics. This might be a book, an adult coloring book, or some work you need to get done.
For comfort, if you have room, you could bring a neck pillow, a blanket, or anything else you just want with you. To finish off, go ahead a pack a snack. Happy flying!
