With restrictions lifting and life going back to normal, summer weddings are back on and we couldn’t be more excited. Many couples get married on the beach during the summer and when it comes to what to wear to beach weddings, it can be a bit tricky. You don’t want to be too casual and look like you’re there for a tan or too dressed up and look out of place. There has to be a happy medium. Here’s your guide for what to wear to beach weddings.

Wear Color

Don’t be afraid to go bold with bright colors. Bright colors look great on a variety of skin tones and they scream summer.

Choose Elevated Sandals Over Heels

Instead of traditional heels which will dig into the sand, wear strappy sandals or wedges. You’ll be more comfortable dancing and you can wear them for the rest of your vacation.

Play with Fabrics and Cuts

Experiment with unexpected fabrics and cuts like maxi dresses and leather instead of going with traditional boho and paisley prints.

Wear Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses are made for beach weddings, especially floral ones. They’re light and breezy and they can easily be dressed up or down.

Consider the Weather

Halter dresses or backless cuts look fancy and they’ll keep you cool in the summer heat. In regards to fabrics, satin is a great lightweight choice.
