If you’re always in the mood for a good “girl power” movie, you won’t run out of things to watch in theaters this summer because there are several amazing female-led projects coming our way.

Black Widow

Marvel fans spent an entire decade waiting for a stand-alone Black Widow movie, and that moment is finally here. Scarlett Johansson is back in action as Natasha Romanoff, as she reunites with people she once called her family and tries to fight with demons of her past.

Fear Street

The horror franchise Fear Street isn’t exactly ruling the theaters, but Netflix users can’t get enough of it right now. All the movies are focused on teenagers fighting evil forces in the fictional town of Shadyside, and they’re mostly female-led.

Gunpowder Milkshake

One of the most star-studded movies we’ll get to see in theaters this summer, Gunpowder Milkshake stars Karen Gillan, Lena Headey, Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, and Angela Bassett as members of the sisterhood of professional assassins.

Zola

This indie movie took Sundance by storm earlier this year, and it’s based on a viral Twitter thread about two women who go on a wild road trip to Florida in an attempt to make some quick cash.
