Fall Cocktails with a Purple Twist

Fall is the perfect time to take a break and enjoy a nice cocktail. Pumpkin flavored and spiced cocktails tend to take over during this time, but a very special purple gin might change this.

Empress 1908 Gin is a special small-batch gin made in Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada. It’s known for its rich purple color, which is created naturally through the addition of butterfly pea blossoms. These pea blossoms are added post-distillation and infused into the gin. That’s what creates the vibrant purple shade, which in turn creates delectable purple cocktails. Here are a few to try.

Pineapple, Mint and Meyer lemon cocktail

This is more like a fruit cocktail in a glass and anyone who misses being in a tropical location this year will be transported to a beach when they sip it.

Empress 75

No Fall cocktail would be complete without cranberries. The Empress 75 mixes simple syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling wine for an effervescent treat.

1908 Swizzle

For a cocktail with a bitter edge, the 1908 hits the spot. To make this visually pleasing concoction you will need grapefruit juice, Gomme syrup, and some grapefruit bitters.
