We totally understand that it’s a bit early to start talking about fall trends, but with everything in fashion, you have to get your hands on it before it sells out. Besides, we’re only a bit over a month away from the official start to fall and it’s time to start thinking about transitioning our wardrobes for the colder months. In regards to outwear, these are the five trends you should expect to see this fall.
Blankets
Who doesn’t love sitting inside their house by the fireplace wrapped in their warmest, most cozy blanket? Well, now you can wear a blanket coat, which is similar to capes and ponchos, outside of your home while still being stylish.
Anoraks
Come rain or shine, anoraks are a great transition jacket from summer to fall and they’re lightweight enough that you won’t feel super overheated.
Capes
Capes were super popular in the 70s, and they’re making a comeback this year. Not only will they keep you warm, but they’re a great layering piece to any outfit.
Puffers
Be honest—you probably owned one of these as a child or begged your parents to get you one. Well, now you can wear them as an adult and look super on-trend while staying warm.
Long Hair
Teddy coats step aside as the new trend in fur (or faux fur) jackets are ones that are longer and harrier.
