If you live in a home with many rooms, there is a good chance that clutter will build up in various places over time. While cleaning up the mess can feel overwhelming, here are some easy places to start that will take five minutes or less to declutter.

The Refrigerator

Keeping your fridge organized is essential so that you don’t get sick from eating food that’s gone bad. Check your fridge systematically from bottom to top, starting with the vegetable drawers and working your way up. Finally, check the door to see that your milk, sauces, and other beverages are still fresh.

Your Desk Drawer

While it may seem easy to simply throw stationery into your desk drawer and close it, you’ll regret doing so the next time you’re searching for a specific pen. Remove any garbage such as bubble gum wrappers and old receipts you no longer need and organize your stationery neatly.

The Pantry

Sometimes, our pantries become overstocked because of items we no longer need. Start by going through spices and then move on to food items, throwing out anything stale or that you no longer need.
