Check out the recipe for this DIY shaving cream below.
Let’s stay organic guys! Starting from this week I’m gonna share some travel tips that come directly from my own experiences during my trips. Can’t avoid sunburnt as we love the sun and chocolate skin especially in this summer holiday. After a long day chilling in the sun, I often make & use Lavender and coconut oil to soothe & nourish my skin. This one’s great for immediate relief, especially with blisters or burns. Lavender essential oil is great for pain relief and will help your skin heal faster. Coconut oil is nourishing to the skin, helps reduce inflammation, and may relieve pain as well. I usually make it by taking a small scoop of coconut oil in a spoon and then just add a drop of lavender oil! I probably do about two teaspoons of coconut oil to one drop of lavender. Mix with your finger and apply. Feel free to make more if you need- but a little goes a long way! #nextjourney #cocomymy #traveltips #beautytips #coconutoil #lavender #beautyday #sunburnt #sunburn #beachbody
To make this easy DIY shaving cream you need 2/3 cup shea butter, 2/3 cup virgin coconut oil, 10 drops lavender essential oil, 5 drops peppermint essential oil, 1/4 cup olive or almond oil, and 2 teaspoons baking soda.
How To Make It:
The first step of making the easy DIY shaving cream includes you getting a saucepan. Put both the virgin coconut oil and the shea butter in the pan. Place it on the stove on low heat and stir the mixture. Once it’s homogenous and all melted you can remove it and put it on the side. This is when you add the lavender, peppermint and olive oil in the mixture. During the following step, you have to put it in a fridge and wait for a few minutes
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the shea butter and coconut oil, stirring until the mixture is almost melted. Remove from the heat and add the olive oil and essential oils. Mix it together.
- Put the mixture in the refrigerator to harden. After a few minutes remove the mixture from the refrigerator and allow to slightly soften. Add the 2 teaspoons of baking soda to the mixture with a mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Move the mixture back into the refrigerator to harden until it is used. Scoop it out with a spoon when you want to use it.
