Did You Know You Can Rent Ebooks for Free?

If you’re a big reader, you either already have an ereader or have thought about getting one. But while reading can be a pretty cheap hobby if you get your books at libraries and thrift stores, ebooks can be rather pricey.

But don’t worry, that shouldn’t stop you from reaping all of the advantages of ereaders, like portability and environmentally-friendly reading. Not many people know about it, but you can actually (probably) check out ebooks for free from your local library.

As long as you have a library card and your library is signed up with a service like OverDrive, which most are, you’ll be able to enjoy this privilege. You’ll be limited by how many books you can check out and for how long, just like at a normal library, but it’s totally worth it for free access to all of your favorites. It’s also much more convenient than browsing through the stacks of an actual library.

So if you’re looking for a book to curl up with this winter with some cocoa and cozy socks, don’t forget to check out your library’s website.
