Create the Perfect Earring Stack with These Tips

Having pierced ears has always been popular, but this season it is all about the earring stack. The stack itself is a collection of studs and hoops, that are selected to create a specific look. Typically, they will either be a mixture of silver and some stones, or gold. Mixing metals can break-up the flow of a stack. Building the perfect stack takes some work though, and here’s how to get the perfect one.

Step 1: Choose the focal earring. This is the first earring in your stack and it will usually be the largest one. Thick medium-sized gold hoops are a good starting point.

Step 2: The next two earrings in your stack should be relatively uniform pieces. Small diamond studs and huggies that are the diameter of your ear lobe look nice together. If you want to add a bit of dangle, then a huggie with a charm such as a snake or a celestial symbol is in fashion at the moment.

Step 3: Climbers and cuffs should be the next earrings in your stack. Climbers are designed to stretch up your ear and dainty ones that are the same metal as the rest of your stack suit each other. Cuffs can finish off the look, or add to the stack, and go around the thickest part of your ear.
