Claridge’s is a luxury hotel in London located in the famous Mayfair district. Each year around this time, a famous designer decorates a Christmas tree for the hotel’s lobby. It started with John Galliano in 2009, last year the honors went to Diane von Furstenberg, and this year we have a chance to see the creation of famous shoe designer Christian Louboutin.
The tree is 16 feet tall and decorated with red and gold bubbles, shiny lamps, faux snow, shoe-shaped cookies, while the golden crown sits on the top. The tree is just as elegant as your average pair of Louboutins, just in the Christmas spirit.
Next to the tree, the designer placed The Loubi Express train and wrapped gifts are all around the room. “I am glad to bring a little piece of Paris to such an iconic London landmark,” the designer told Vogue.
If you still haven’t decided how you will decorate the Christmas tree this year, we hope that this high-end design can serve as an inspiration.
