If you’re a sucker for coming-of-age stories, you have to see Netflix’s heartwarming tale about a shy high school student who forms a special connection with a popular rugby player.
Our Flag Means Death
This series set in the Golden Age of Piracy made quite a splash since premiering on HBO Max. It received a lot of praise for its LGBT+ representation, starting with the relationship between its main characters Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard.
Conversations with Friends
The team behind Hulu’s Normal People joined forces to give us another series exploring modern romance. This one centers on two best friends and former lovers who forge an unexpected connection with a married couple.
Hacks
This Emmy-winning series about a washed-up Las Vegas stand-up comedian and a millennial comedy writer who tries to help her reinvent her act received praise for its bisexual representation, and it pushed things even further in its second season.
