5 Super Handy Alexa Skills

Alexa has a tonne of cool games and being able to turn on music and skip tracks with your voice alone is definitely awesome. To get the most out of your Alexa though, we recommend these 5 Alexa skills to make life just that little bit easier.

TrackR

Signing up for a TrackR account means all you have to say is “Alexa, find my phone!” and she will ring it for you. If you’ve left it on silent, do not sweat it, she will ring it on full volume.

Google Calendar

Integrating and utilising your Google Calandar means you never have to be late again. You can set reminders on the Alexa app or simply sync up your Google Calendar for reminders of what you need to remember that day.

Alexa Alarm

You probably already knew you could set an alarm with Alexa, but did you know you could instruct her to wake you up to your favourite song? Just say: “Alexa, wake me up at 7am to…” and she’ll make sure your day starts off right.

Hive

Hive enables you to control your heating without you having to get up or even be home. This means you can make your house warm and cozy while your on your bus home.

Sleep Sounds

If you struggle to get to sleep, Alexa can help you relax before bed. Just say: “Alexa, help me sleep” and she’ll suggest some calming sounds she will play for half an hour or loop while you drift off.
