3 Things You Shouldn’t Pack for Your Fall Trips

Packing light once fall arrives can be tricky because the clothes we’ll be wearing this season tend to be bulkier and take up more space. If you’re trying to scale down and avoid overpacking, here are three items that you can comfortably leave behind.

Bulky Clothes

No fall is complete without cozy sweaters and cardigans, but they’re best left at home during your travels. Wear your bulkiest items while traveling to keep yourself warm, but try to focus on packing lighter clothes that you can layer with ease instead of a bunch of bulky sweaters that you can only wear once.

Multiple Shoes/Jackets

Shoes/boots and jackets/coats will take up more space in your suitcase than any other item, but what if we told you that you don’t have to pack them at all? Opt for a single comfortable pair of shoes and a warm and cozy jacket or coat that you’re going to travel in and wear for the entirety of your trip.

Accessories Bonanza

Scarves, hats, gloves, and other essential fall accessories don’t take up as much space as clothes, but that doesn’t mean you should go overboard. They’ll end up taking half of your suitcase if you’re not careful enough, so try to stick to a few versatile pieces that you can pair with all of your outfits.
