Mattress
The most obvious reason why you shouldn’t buy a used mattress is that you never know where it’s been, who’s slept on it, and how dirty it is. On the other hand, there is a good reason why someone is selling a used mattress and it’s very possible that’s because the mattress is uncomfortable.
Tires
Another thing you definitely don’t want to save your money on is tires. Used tires can be up to 50% cheaper than new ones, but you can never entirely inspect their condition and they could have some minor or major internal damages. Using these tires could be very dangerous, so it’s better to invest in new ones.
Home Electronics
Buying used electronics such as television, DVD players, smartphones, or laptops is always a risky game. You never know if they work properly, and fixing broken electronics can be much more expensive than buying a new thing. On the other hand, if you need a cheap laptop only to play music, for example, and you find a good deal that sounds great.
