If you want to eat healthy and not spend a ton of time preparing your meals, smoothies might be the perfect solution. You can base them on leafy greens and mask their taste (and color) with fresh fruit, or you can enjoy a milk and fruit smoothie as a perfect breakfast or dessert. Banana Ginger Smoothie
Take 1 medium sized banana, 6 oz vanilla yogurt, 1 tbsp honey and 1/2 tbs ginger, blend until smooth and enjoy. Especially useful if you have any stomach troubles.
Berry Mix Smoothie
You can make your own mix of favorite berries – around 1 big cup – and add some almond or rice milk for the ultimate berry breakfast. You can also add some lemon juice, honey, and grated ginger to the mix. Blend all.
Who says you can’t have a pina colada for breakfast? With 1 cup pineapple cubes, 1/4 cup of coconut flakes, 1 cup of vanilla yogurt, a few ice cubes and a blender you can have your perfect cocktail smoothie every day.
