The post Selena Gomez’s Emotional Plea on Immigration Sparks Heated Debate appeared first on My Daily Magazine - Art, Design, DIY, Fashion and Beauty !.
]]>Gomez’s heartfelt message was in response to the administration’s intensified immigration policies, which have led to the deportation of over 4,000 individuals to Mexico within a week. These measures have sparked widespread concern, particularly regarding the impact on families and children.
The video elicited a mixed response from the public. While many fans praised Gomez for her empathy and willingness to use her platform to highlight the issue, others criticized her, accusing her of being overly emotional or insincere. Facing significant backlash, Gomez deleted the original video shortly after posting it. She later addressed the criticism in a subsequent Instagram Story, stating, “Apparently it’s not okay to show empathy for people,” CNN reported.
This incident is not the first time Gomez has spoken out on immigration issues. In 2019, she penned an op-ed for Time magazine, sharing her family’s immigration story and expressing concern over the treatment of undocumented immigrants in the U.S.
She wrote, “Undocumented immigration is an issue I think about every day, and I never forget how blessed I am to have been born in this country thanks to my family and the grace of circumstance. But when I read the news headlines or see debates about immigration rage on social media, I feel afraid for those in similar situations. I feel afraid for my country.
“I don’t claim to be an expert. I’m not a politician, I’m not a doctor, and I don’t work in the system at all,” she continued. “ I understand it’s flawed and that we need rules and regulations, but we also have to remember that our country was formed by people who came here from other countries.”
The recent deportations have been part of a broader initiative by the Trump administration to enforce stricter immigration policies. According to reports, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted raids in several major cities, resulting in numerous arrests and deportations, Page Six reported.
Gomez’s emotional plea has reignited discussions about the role of public figures in political discourse and the challenges they face when addressing contentious issues. While some argue that celebrities should use their platforms to advocate for social justice, others believe they should refrain from engaging in political matters.
As the debate continues, Gomez’s supporters commend her for shedding light on the human impact of immigration policies, emphasizing the importance of empathy and understanding in addressing such complex issues.

Selena Gomez is another former Disney star who can’t get enough of red lipstick. That’s why it’s not surprising that her newly-launched brand Rare Beauty has several lipsticks in this tone.
Rosalia also found a way to take her love for the classic red lipstick to a new level. She designed red-hot lipstick for MAC Cosmetics and explained she opted for this color because it always reminded her of flamenco.
Christina Aguilera’s love for red lipstick knows no bounds, and she enjoys matching it with other parts of her outfits and beauty looks, including her nail art.

]]>Rare Beauty finally became available on September 3rd—both online and at Sephora’s stores in North America—and it’s everything we’ve hoped for.
The first drop features lip, eye, and face products, and several makeup tools, such as brushes and makeup sponges.
Gomez previously revealed she’ll be launching 48 shades of foundation, and it turns out she wasn’t kidding. The Rare Beauty website even features a shade finder, helping you pick the foundation that best represents your skin tone. The list of current Rare Beauty products also includes lip cream, liquid luminizer, primer, concealer, lip balm, liquid blush, and more.
When Gomez first announced the launch of Rare Beauty, she said its main goal is “to promote self-acceptance and give people the tools they need to feel less alone in the world.” Her makeup products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and one percent of all sales are going towards organizations providing mental health services through The Rare Impact Fund.

]]>Gomez recently announced that she will be launching her own beauty line. The company will be called Rare and will be available online and in selected Sephora stores across North America and Mexico.
Gomez is the latest A-list celebrity to join the bandwagon and release her own beauty line. Lady Gaga recently launched Haus Labs on Amazon and Rihanna has had huge success with Fenty Beauty.
Rare was due to drop earlier this summer but due to the pandemic, things have been put on hold. Now, she has confirmed that the collection will drop on September 3.
“I’m SO excited to finally share that @RareBeauty will be launching September 3rd only at @Sephora, @SephoraCanada, @SephoraMx and RareBeauty.com,” she wrote on her Instagram. “I’ve had so much fun creating everything and can’t wait for y’all to try it all! I hope you love it as much as I do!”
In her latest teaser, Gomez shares her hopes that Rare will be a beauty brand. She hopes that we can “stop comparing ourselves to each other and embrace our own uniqueness.”

Selena often wears beige, golds, and neutrals. This cream trench coat is very Selena.
When Selena steps out on the red carpet, she often ties back her hair and goes for a slicked-back do. This allows her to show off her angelic face and draw attention to her low-key makeup and natural eyebrows.
Selena often shares pictures of herself wearing loungewear or her pajamas. She is totally comfortable on her own skin and to channel Selena’s style, getting comfy in your comfort-wear is a good place to start.
Selena often wears pretty dresses with colorful prints. She often pairs these up with sneakers to keep her look enviously casual.
More often than not, Selena is wearing a great pair of earrings. She loves hoops and sparkly earrings are her glam go-to. So get accessorizing!

The new makeup line is launching in summer in Sephora stores across North America. No exact release date has been confirmed, but we are anticipating a June or July launch.
Rare Beauty is a brand created to help people feel comfortable in their own skin. Selena shared the idea behind her brand on social media.
“Rare Beauty isn’t about how other people see you — it’s about how you see yourself,” Gomez shared. “I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and to start embracing our own uniqueness. You are not defined by a photo, a like, or a comment.
“I wanted to make a brand where you feel comfortable,” she added. “I think people feel the pressure — I know I do — where you kind of feel like you need to look like everyone else… Sometimes that can feel a bit isolating.”
