]]>Consider planting your own herbs and spices in colored pots and growing them on your window sill. Chilies will certainly add some natural color. If you are short of space, consider putting glass shelving on your window. This will give lots of growing space and still put them in the light.
Pick a bright color scheme and match your utensils and kettle etc with something bold. Try not to have clutter on your kitchen counters, but what you do have out, have some fun with the design.
Try some strip lights under the shelves or kitchen units. They are easy to install and you can then change the mood and color depending on whether your entertaining or having a quiet dinner at home.
If you have stools or a seating area in the kitchen, think about recovering the cushioned area. Perhaps you could cover each chair with a different color, to really brighten up the area. If you are not feeling like a domestic goddess, there are plenty of chair coverings that you can now buy.
Radiators are no longer just for heating a space. They can be a prime feature by covering with specially designed radiator art. Go for bold colors and shapes or something more traditional—depending on what fits with the space.
