]]>Is there a more classic, chic style than the trench? With its belted waist, statement lapels, and long, flowing style, this coat has been in every season, practically since fashion began. It’s one drawback is its warmth – once the weather really closes in, a traditional trench is useless against the biting winds and snow. This is why you should consider investing in an insulated trench, a coat with the classic outer layer, but with hidden internal layers which help to keep you warm. If you’re struggling to find a trench with these insulating layers attached, try a thin gilet worn under the coat for a temperature boost.
Some outfits demand to be shown off, and in these situations, you want an outer layer that won’t swamp you and hide your carefully curated clothes. In these cases, a bomber jacket is an excellent choice. Forever cool, cropped to the waist, and able to fend off the wind and rain, this jacket style is a must-have in your wardrobe.
A quick glance at the catwalks confirms that when it comes to coat styles, this season it’s the puffier, the better. Keep yourself really warm (and cocooned against the city) with a full-length, triple-layered duvet coat. The best part about this style is that, if you’re just popping out somewhere, you really don’t need to think about the outfit underneath the coat, as no one is going to see it.

]]>This album was recorded in a remote hunting cabin in Northwest Wisconsin and if that doesn’t sound like the most fall thing you’ve ever heard of, we don’t know what to tell you.
It’s haunting and beautiful, longing, melancholic, bittersweet, yes somehow comforting, just like the gloomy autumn weather.
Taylor Swift’s magnum opus of a 16-song album (22 on the deluxe version), Red, represents Swift at her best, experimenting with genres as diverse as stadium rock and dubstep on top of her usual country. Lots of songs feel like fall, including “State of Grace,” “Treacherous,” and “Sad Beautiful Tragic,” but no song is more autumn than “All Too Well” with its famously artful lyrics including, “Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place.”
Melancholic, wistful, and poignant, Sounds of Silence practically announces itself as an autumn album, starting with the lyrics “Hello darkness, my old friend,” and going on to describe that the “leaves that are green turn to brown.” Sounds like the perfect soundtrack to a rainy day drive.

]]>Fall is the season when everything changes. It can be a magical time that allows you to reevaluate your life and self-reflect. There’s a good reason you’re excited about it and it’s not just the weather finally getting more pleasant.
Fall comes with plenty of symbolism and things we traditionally do this time of year. If you don’t have your own garden to harvest the food you’ve been taking care of all year, maybe you can harvest the results of some other effort. Falling leaves can represent letting things go and it’s a good thing to do every year at the same time.
Fall is traditionally the time when the new school year starts and we all may feel the urge to start a new job or learn a new skill once this season comes. Since we’re going to stay home more this fall, it may be the perfect time for those things.

You can make a delicious pumpkin cocktail by using vanilla-flavored vodka, cream liqueur, and pumpkin liqueur (ration 4:1:1). Decorate with cream and brown sugar and enjoy!
You can mix white wine with green tea, pomegranate juice, a bit of brandy and gin, and add seasonal fruits to get the perfect fall sangria. ]]>As Amy Jane Griffiths, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and Chapman University professor told Bustle, “we all crave the comfort and security that comes with traditions and predictability. They may relate to joyful experiences with friends and family and provide something to look forward to.” By this, she means things like holidays, going back to school, or other seasonal events.
Colder weather is biologically motivating people to seek warmth and comfort. The fall weather is a perfect balance between cold (but not too cold) and comfortable, especially after a long, hot summer.
This is, of course, not true for all people and largely depends on individual experiences. There are plenty of people who get seasonal affective disorder and experience depression over fall and winter. They don’t enjoy the fall holidays, because they remind them of something that bothers them.
What’s your opinion on fall? Are you among those who can’t wait for it to get or would you rather sleep through fall and winter and wake up to the warmth of spring?
