This year the theme celebrates Karl Lagerfeld; “Karl Lagerfeld: A line of Beauty”. He was a regular attendee at the Gala and was a creative director for the famous fashion house Chanel and Fendi.
On January 18th, Vogue announced that its 2023 hosts will be Penelope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and of course, Anna Wintour, who will oversee the event.
The Met is a highly secretive and extremely sought-after event. All its guests must follow the rules of no phones and no social media. Additionally, on average, there are around 600 guests. The guest list is also highly secretive. We will only know who has been invited once they ascend up those steps.
