]]> Now that we are firmly in boot season, it’s time to take a look at your closet and see if you’re missing any of the latest trends. One trend that has quickly spread across social media are combat boots. Combat boots make even the plainest outfit exciting and they make you look like the toughest person on the block. While there is some debate about which brand is the best, Dr. Martens has been the longtime favorite for most combat boot enthusiasts. 

The Styles 

Dr. Martens make boots for all shoe sizes and styles, but their classic combat boot with the thick black sole, leather upper, and ankle-high laces are the style winner. These classic boots have been popular since the ’60s, when they first hit the streets of Europe. They are iconic and every person who could afford them had a pair. They have always been in-style and if you want that classic look order yourself a pair of the 1460s also known as The Originals. 

You won’t be disappointed when these arrive. Pair them with straight leg jeans, a black turtleneck, and a baggy coat and you will look like you’ve walked straight out of the late ’80s and early ’90s.

]]> Having pierced ears has always been popular, but this season it is all about the earring stack. The stack itself is a collection of studs and hoops, that are selected to create a specific look. Typically, they will either be a mixture of silver and some stones, or gold. Mixing metals can break-up the flow of a stack. Building the perfect stack takes some work though, and here’s how to get the perfect one. 

Step 1: Choose the focal earring. This is the first earring in your stack and it will usually be the largest one. Thick medium-sized gold hoops are a good starting point. 

Step 2: The next two earrings in your stack should be relatively uniform pieces. Small diamond studs and huggies that are the diameter of your ear lobe look nice together. If you want to add a bit of dangle, then a huggie with a charm such as a snake or a celestial symbol is in fashion at the moment. 

Step 3: Climbers and cuffs should be the next earrings in your stack. Climbers are designed to stretch up your ear and dainty ones that are the same metal as the rest of your stack suit each other. Cuffs can finish off the look, or add to the stack, and go around the thickest part of your ear.
