]]>Who doesn’t love a glass of wine after a hard day’s work? But what do you do with the wine bottle when it’s empty? You put it in the trash, of course. But why not save them to paint and use them as vases? We’re sure there has been a time you received flowers and had nowhere to put them. Well, with your beautifully decorated wine bottles you will always have a place.
All you need is a piece of wood and some macrame cord and a drill if you want to secure it to the wall. You can choose any wood you want and color. Make four small holes with a drill on each corner and then thread through the string, connect it to a macrame ring, and then put it onto a hook in the wall. Add some pretty plants or small books.
We all have those CDs sitting in our living room collecting dust, so instead of throwing them away, why not cover them in fabric or paint them and make them coasters for your drinks? Add some stones, make them glossy or matt, whatever your design choice is, make it fun!
What can you do with all that leftover fabric you have from costumes you once made? Why not cover your plant pots with it? All you need is some plain plant pots, fabric, and mod podge and you will have a fantastic fabric-covered plant pot to brighten up your home.

]]>A fun way to wear mesh is by getting an oversized shirt and wearing it over your regular clothes. You can either wear it over a regular tank top or put it with a crop top or even just a sports bra.
If you still want to cover some skin while wearing mesh, go for a top that is long sleeves. You can also pair it with a high waisted pant to make it less revealing while still being fashion forward.
Mesh skirts are so much fun to play with because you can dress as wildly or modestly as you like on the top, and have the mesh be the focal point of the outfit on the bottom. You can choose a skirt that is shorter with mesh or something playful like a regular mini skirt covered by a longer mesh skirt.

]]>The reason why you want to work with this specific kind of cotton is that the tighter it’s woven, the less it will distort and stretch when you’re working with it.

Similar to cotton, linen will not stretch or distort when you work with it. On top of that, since linen is already a naturally wrinkly fabric, if you make any mistakes it won’t show as much. Linen will also show off any specific sewing technique or embellishment you want to add.
Using solid colored fabrics or ones with small designs will help you when sewing your garment because it’ll be easier to match up the seams. Some fabrics that have a lot going on will need to line up perfectly so when you sew there aren’t any weird seams.
