]]>It’s time us overpackers admitted it, we need a new solution–and no, we aren’t suggesting packing less (we would never do such a thing!). We need a better way to fit everything into our suitcases, without having to pay for extra luggage or leave anything behind.
Well, we just might have the answer to your problems: vacuum storage bags. Yes, you read that right; vacuum storage bags will solve your packing issues like nothing you’ve ever tried before. The best part: you don’t even need a vacuum to use them—many vacuum storage bag companies come with a mini pump to take the air out on the go, or for some, all you have to do is roll them up to release the air!
The greatest part of vacuum storage bags is that they often leave 3x the amount of room than you would’ve had without them! THREE TIMES. Do you know how many extra outfits you can bring with that space? The vacation outfit options just leveled up. You can thank us later!

Battery-operated items like electric toothbrushes or razors can turn on easily, which can draw the attention of security. If you want to bring these items, pack the batteries separately.
It should come without saying that weapons are a huge no-no. But things like knives, mace, and box cutters are also considered weapons, so don’t pack them.
Anything in liquid, aerosol, or gel must be 3.4 ounces or less. If you want to bring shampoos, soaps, or perfumes, invest in reusable travel-size bottles.
Most sports equipment is not allowed in carry-on baggage because it can be used as a weapon like golf clubs, baseball bats, pool cues, ski poles, and hockey sticks. Smaller items like baseballs and basketballs are okay to bring in your carry-on.

If you’re lucky enough to have theme rides, events, or live music on board the cruise, be sure to reserve them in advance before you board. Most cruises will have apps or websites with ways to book a spot for an activity. If you don’t, your holiday cruise will consist mostly of ocean gazing…
