Before your staycation begins, make sure your home is tidy as you don’t want to spend the time cleaning. Invest in some fresh flowers to brighten the space and make you feel special.
Treat yourself to a spa day at home. You can get a beautician to come round and give you a massage and manicure. You can then spend the afternoon relaxing with a glass of champagne in the bath. On a budget? Pick up a couple of face masks and new nail polish from the Dollorama and you’re good to go.
Set yourself a budget and treat yourself to a fancy restaurant locally that you may not have been to before. If you were on vacation, you may splash out, so apply the same logic to your staycation. Go out, feast and enjoy.
If your family, friends or work colleagues know that your planning to be at home, they may feel more inclined to get in touch and ask for favors. Your time is precious so spend some time away from your screens and turn off your phone. This is your time.
