Who doesn’t love smoothies? They’re super convenient, easy to make, and perfect for on-the-go. But, they also happen to be full of fruits and sweeteners which can leave you feeling hungry just a few hours after you’ve had one. If you’re looking for a more filling smoothie, try adding protein, healthy fats, and fiber with these ingredients.

Protein From Milk

The protein found in milk has calcium, magnesium, and all of the essential amino acids your body needs. Including milk or Greek yogurt in your smoothie will help you feel fuller longer.

Raisins

While not everyone loves raisins, they are a great natural way to get sweetness instead of adding sugars or syrups. Raisins have fiber and potassium, which will keep you satisfied.

Pulses

Have you thought of adding pulses to your smoothie? Pulses are dry, edible legumes including chickpeas, lentils, beans, and split peas. They add plant-based protein, antioxidants, and fiber. Cook them before putting them in your smoothie.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter adds plant-based protein, healthy fat, vitamins, and minerals to your smoothie. Make a peanut butter, banana, and honey smoothie for a delicious, nutritious meal or snack.
