As you can see, koselig is as much about people and experiences as it is about creating a cozy atmosphere. Yes, it’s similar to Danish hygge, but Norwegians also use the word hyggelig and it has another meaning in their country – they say hyggelig å treffe deg when they are pleased to meet someone.
