For leafy greens, you do need a slightly different solution. The same 1 part vinegar and 4 parts water apply, but instead of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, use 1 tablespoon of salt. Put the greens in a colander and spray all over. Leave it for 2-5 minutes and then wash off well. Dry with paper towels and spin dry in a salad spinner.
