]]>It may be the perfect time to cook that meal you’ve always wanted to try, but never had the time. When you’re spending the holiday alone, you don’t need to make compromises with anyone about the food, so have fun and make your favorite things.
If you’re unable to spend Thanksgiving with family this year, perhaps you can gather with them on a video call, at least for a few hours. A virtual dinner together and catching up will have to do until next year.
If you want, you can choose to completely ignore the holiday and spend the day however you want. Takeout and movies? Why not! Everything is allowed this year and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for proper Thanksgiving celebrations.

]]>Let’s focus on the good news first: we still get to celebrate Thanksgiving. Given that so many things have been canceled this year, we have to celebrate the small victories, right? The bad news is that you won’t be able to have your whole extended family around the table, at least if you want to stay safe. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s not recommended to invite people who don’t live with you into your home. Additionally, traveling for Thanksgiving is still a bit challenging and can be risky.

An outdoor Thanksgiving is trickier, but it can still be executed. If the weather allows for it and your family doesn’t have to travel from afar, you can plan a day outside and make sure everyone stays safely distanced from each other.
The other option includes a virtual dinner where you all join in on a Zoom call from your own homes, and even though it may seem weird at first, it may be the best way to relax and actually have fun with your loved ones.

]]>In order to avoid spending all day in pajamas and feeling absolutely unproductive, people started leaning toward other options that include comfortable clothes. More and more stylish loungewear options are available in the stores and we’re absolutely up for this trend!
It’s unsurprising that we now need more face masks than ever before. It’s better to wear cotton masks that you can wash and reuse multiple times than to go for the single-use masks that generate a lot of trash quickly. Matching a mask with an outfit quickly became a thing and masks are now a big part of everyday fashion.
Endless Zoom meetings require proper clothing, at least from the waist up. While you can still lounge in sweatpants or pajama bottoms, a nice blouse and some jewelry are a must along with basic makeup and hairstyling. With fewer opportunities to go to events, people are wearing more of their special-occasion clothes and accessories for Zoom meetings these days.

]]>Doomscrolling is the tendency to continuously scroll through bad news, despite that news being depressing, saddening, or disheartening. It’s hard to break the habit of doomscrolling, but here are some tips that can help you.
It’s a good idea to set a timer for social media scrolling. Limiting yourself to 10 or 15 minutes and get off the apps once the time is up. It’s also a good idea to skip social media completely at least one day every week.
Change the way you use your phone by finding the positive news to read instead of all the anxiety-inducing stories. Don’t hesitate to block certain accounts that always make you feel bad for any reason.
The easiest way to break a habit is to replace it with another activity, preferably something you genuinely enjoy doing. It should be easy to do at any moment when you feel drawn to your phone.
