]]>After all, you probably spend more time online than you do looking through your closet or cooking in your kitchen. And seeing an inbox with thousands of unread emails is inevitably going to give you some anxiety. Clearing that out will give you peace of mind, plus allow you to implement an organization system that stops you from missing anything important.
So how can you get your inbox organized?
The thousands of old emails you’re letting clog up your inbox are just taking up literal and mental bandwidth. Go ahead and delete anything that’s old or irrelevant.
Use your mail client to create folders into which you can move emails after you receive and read them. Choose a system that’s logical for you, but an archive and a “to respond” folders are a great place to start.
That’s right, take the time to get your unread emails from 3,402 to 0. It’s worth it. As you go through, organize them into folders or delete them. Don’t just let them sit there.
Taking the time to unsubscribe from the dozens of places sending you newsletters on a daily or weekly basis will make it much easier to keep up with your inbox from here on out.

]]>However, it really becomes a problem when your pantry is overflowing with items and you have no idea what you have. Even if you do have an organized pantry, you still need to maintain it more than you might think!
One thing that people often think about when it comes to pantry items is the expiration dates. While this is important, if you organize your pantry enough this shouldn’t become a problem. However, if your food is in date, but you have multiples of things, this is a real problem. Make sure you take inventory of your pantry every couple of months to make sure you’re not buying another box of crackers when you already have 2 of the same kind!
There are obviously some staples that you use on a daily or weekly basis, and some that are only used occasionally. Don’t be a food hoarder and find occasions to use those unique items so they don’t just sit around! If you have a unique jam, invited friends over to enjoy it with toast and brie.

]]>We have put together a list of ways that to-do lists can help you in your daily life.
Whether you want to drink more water, cook more often, or exercise daily, having a to-do list will help you conquer your personal goals. By putting your daily goal on a to-do list, you will not only remember to do them, but when you finish them, you get the satisfaction of checking them off your list.
There can be a lot to do around the house, especially if you have a big family or roommates. Instead of trying to get things done when you can, write out a to-do list for the week and dedicate every day to a different chore. That way you know things will get done and you won’t leave anything behind.
It’s easy to forget to things like going to the post office or running an errand for a family member, but by writing it down and checking your to-do list throughout the day, you’ll avoid any catastrophes.

]]>Everyone has their own sentimental items, and Marie never judges other people for what is dear to them. But, the important thing is how you store and display them. If you have things like multiples of one picture or items that are not so important to your family, make the choice to give them away.
This is always a tough one, but it’s really necessary when you want to start to declutter. The Konmari way of folding is really helpful because then you start to see all the clothes you have in your drawers, which will help you organize and better use your clothes. But, try to go through at least part of your wardrobe and see what ‘sparks’ joy and what no longer does.
The best way to keep up an organized house is to make sure that everyone knows how to participate. Whether that’s your children or your roommates, getting everyone involved is key.

Many people find it convenient to keep the boxes from larger items they’ve purchased “just in case they might need them”. If you’re saving all the boxes you probably know that the need for them doesn’t really occur that often so it might be better to just get rid of them and regain your valuable space.
For many women, there’s simply no such thing as too many shoes. However, if your shoe rack is constantly full and your remaining shoes are everywhere, consider throwing away or donating a few pairs you never wear.
