]]>Professional model, Alicia Rountree, who doubles as a nutritionist, claims that eating the right foods is what gives her skin an edge.
Before getting into what Rountree eats to enhance her vibrant skin, let’s start off what she doesn’t eat.
She recommends staying as far away as possible from dairy, sugar, and processed foods like chips and cookies. Rountree also avoids bread as best she can.
“Ultimately, clear skin starts from within,” shared Rountree, and she believes these foods have the best chance of giving a person healthy, beautiful skin.

Rountree’s top food is beetroot, and she recommends drinking a glass of beet juice to empty the body of toxins and maintain the elasticity of the skin with all its vitamins and minerals.
Seeds and nuts make up a large part of her diet, and she especially likes chia and sunflower seeds for their rich amount of vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids.
Foods that are rich in beta-carotene play a big part in Rountree’s diet, and these would include carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, etc.
“Eating just one carrot a day, or another beta-carotene–rich food, can improve skin color and reduce signs of aging,” said Rountree.
Time to start chowing down on those carrots!

Rounding out her favorite foods for healthy skin are avocados and probiotic foods like sauerkraut and yogurt, but it’s not just the right food that counts.
“Drinking water is one of the most important things you can do for your body,” commented Rountree, and she thinks it’s a huge factor in having great skin.

]]>Being a 51-year-old beauty star, lovely fashionista, one of the industry’s original supermodels of the 80’s- 90’s, isn’t always easy.
When she is not busy with modeling or working on her new ventures, Cindy enjoy spending time at her Californian home. She lives in Malibu, near the beach. First thing in the morning she start with getting in the Jacuzzi. After that she starts her workout routine. Cindy uses her beach-side abode for excising and working out, she enjoys the advantage of the stairs she has from her gorgeous house to the lovely beach. This actually gives her 20 minutes of cardio exercise!
After that she continues with 30-60 minuets of bicep curls, squats, old school lunges & weights.
It’s important to mention, that balance is the key for her, Cindy isn’t obsessed with excising every day, just three cardio sessions per week. Once a week, she also tries to go on a hike with a friend, this way she can combine two of her favorite things- friendship and workout.
