Magnesium is a vital element for your health and most of us aren’t getting enough of it.

According to recent studies, magnesium helps improve sleep, endurance, and muscle power. It also reduces anxiety and can lower the risk of cancer. Liz Applegate, Ph.D., from the University of California, Davis, says that “roughly 75 percent of women don’t get enough.” She adds, “If you’re eating less than 1,800 calories a day, avoiding grains, or not loading up on leafy greens, there’s a good chance you’re one of them.”

If you think you can compensate the lack of greens in your diet with exercise, Applegate has a warning for you” “You lose magnesium through sweat, and if you work out regularly, those losses can add up.”

Besides the proven health benefits, magnesium is great for lifting your mood, and who wouldn’t want that?
