S.M said of the collection: “Since she’s come back to show on home ground in London, there’s been something less clinical, more approachable about what Beckham does with her ready-to-wear.”

“It hardly warrants a conceptual narrative to interpret this: She puts together flattering shapes and combinations of color that are persuasively easy to wear—and all the more persuasive if she wears them herself, because there are millions of women and girls who hang on her every press appearance and Instagram story.”

One of My Daily Magazine’s highlights of the show was Matty Bovan’s eclectic and stunning collection. He has been praised for his likeness to Vivienne Westwood, who also found herself inspired by witchcraft when it came to creating remarkable fashion.

The highlight of his collection was the sculptured knits. In his official bio on the London Fashion Week website, the description reads: “He creates his own parallel world of post-apocalyptic utopianism.  Knitted pieces are tough and shredded, with raw-edged woven and knitted panels meeting at ‘off’ angles, causing ridges, spines and fins to rise out of the surface of the clothes.”

Matty Bovan describes his collection as an “ode to England” and sourced the wool he used locally. Everything about the collection is bold and beautiful and Bovan’s stunning range was the perfect way to close the Friday (Feb 15) show.

Maria Grazia Chiuri from Dior threw a real spectacle on the runway for spring 2019. She had dancers doing their thing all over the place, and models fiercely walking in the stunning feminine ensembles.

Fendi once again showed a strong case of logomania for the upcoming season. In their previous collections, the label reinvented the popular Fendi logo, and they are sticking to the same aesthetics.

Louis Vuitton

Nicholas Ghesquiere’s futuristic outtake of spring 2019 will soon become a part of your Insta feed. Ever since the designer arrived at the French fashion house he managed to deliver an edgier perspective while also keeping the signature style of the brand.

Chanel

Another score for Karl Lagerfeld. The iconic designer made tweed spring-ready with his latest collection for Chanel.

The designer paid $10 for 93 bags of beads in Hong Kong, which were being discarded for being the wrong color. Germanier bought them back to London and turned them into something magical.

The eco-friendly fashionista is currently in the running for the prestigious ANSAM Prize. Despite his impressive achievement making it to the final, he stays humble: “It is very important to stay true to myself and let’s not forget that I am only 26 years old. I still have everything to learn.”
