]]>We live, work, eat, and sleep at the same place and so do our family members and pretty much all our neighbors, so it’s no wonder we’re all tired of this dynamic.
But things get even worse when your neighbors are being noisy. Imagine you have to work but all you can hear is the noise from the apartment above you. How can you deal with that?
Nobody finds confronting the neighbors easy. You have to have an awkward conversation that may not even solve the problem, but it’s the first thing you should try. If you’re lucky, a conversation will be enough. If the neighbors are reasonable, they will understand the situation and keep the noise under control.
If you don’t know the neighbors or they don’t seem friendly, the task can seem daunting. However, if you don’t address the problem they may not even be aware that they’re too loud. Try to approach them without mentioning the problem first so you can set the tone and have a more relaxed conversation about noise later.

]]>Working from home has some perks, but nobody truly expects you to be more productive than before just because you’ve cut the commute time. Between work and all the amazing projects you magically have time for now, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Don’t push yourself to do your job, renovate your home, read all the books, and watch all the shows you’ve missed—it’s okay not to do it all.
It’s important to stay informed, but you don’t need to be scrolling through news websites all day long. It will drain all your energy and you won’t be able to do anything else, which will only make you feel worse.
Sitting or lying around all day is pretty bad for your physical and mental health. Go for daily walks for at least 30 minutes or try a light at-home exercise plan.

]]>Thinking about all the things you can’t do right now can make you anxious and is no way to spend this crazy period. Instead, it’s better to think about what you can do and devote to your home a bit more since you’re spending all your time in it anyway.
Decorating your home is a great way to do something productive and to feel good. The activity is actually perfect for your mental health, especially if you’ve been feeling anxious about everything that’s going on. Even though many stores are still closed (depending on where you live), you can order decor items online or DIY them! Even something as simple as rearranging furniture can refresh your home more than you think.
Taking care of the space you live in is an extension of taking care of yourself, and now is the perfect time to make all the changes you never had the time for!

]]>Despite what everyone’s saying, you’re not obligated to do anything during this pandemic if you don’t want to. You’re allowed to be stressed and to need time to rest and recharge; after all, it’s not like this is a vacation. The last thing you want is to feel bad because you’re less productive than everyone else: that’s not helping you or anyone.
And consider this: how do you even know about other people’s quarantine life? From social media? You can bet the image they’re sharing is not completely realistic, if not totally false.
Yes, we now have a sudden chance to sit at home and learn a new skill, cook, learn a language, and organize every corner of the house. But you know what? The only thing you need to do is the thing you want to do! Even if it means staying in bed by noon and spending most of your days practicing hobbies or streaming your favorite TV show.

]]>If not having enough time was always your excuse, you don’t have it anymore. Call your high school friend, an ex-roommate, or a former colleague and catch up.
Now is a perfect time to declutter your home and get rid of everything you don’t need. You’ll feel better and lighter after doing it. Give yourself enough time and do it thoroughly, and make sure to devote an entire day just for your closet.
No matter if your financial situation has changed due to pandemic or not, it’s always a good idea to sit down and make a budget so you can reach your financial goals quicker. Whether it’s paying off debt, buying your own home, starting a business, or anything else, making a plan for reaching your goal will motivate you to keep going.

]]>It’s clear that the priorities are changing as this unpredictable event unfolds. You probably aren’t buying new shoes now, but what if you’ve been thinking about getting a car or a house before all this happened? There’s really no one answer that fits all; it totally depends on your situation.
In case you lost your job or are unable to run your business at the moment, thinking about purchases will only make you more stressed. Instead, focus on the basics like food and bills until the situation gets better.
In case you’re in a better situation and still have an income and perhaps something saved, you can be tempted to reach for retail therapy and make online purchases day after day. It’s okay to order something you really need, but don’t make it a habit.
Be realistic with what you can and can’t do right now and don’t stress yourself out by setting the priorities wrong. And when this is all over, you’ll be glad you’re not in debt.

]]>It’s best to start with skincare. A gentle scrub and your favorite treatment are enough. Use a moisturizer after that or, even better, apply a sheet mask and let it do its job.
Apply a hair mask that fits your hair’s needs and leave it for a few hours before washing your hair. After washing, style your hair the way you like it.
You now have plenty of time to enjoy warm baths, so use it! You can do this while the hair mask is doing its job.
Wear something that makes you feel pretty, whatever it is. That dress you love but don’t get to wear often? A perfect choice!
Even though you’re not going anywhere, a minimal makeup look can make you feel even better. It will also prevent you from touching your face all the time.
