Have you ever wondered what causes those bursts of joy and contentment within us? It turns out that our brains are hardwired to release certain chemicals that contribute to our happiness. These chemicals, often referred to as “happy chemicals,” play a crucial role in regulating our mood, motivation, and overall sense of well-being. Let’s explore these chemicals and discover some hacks to boost them naturally.

Dopamine: The Achievement Chemical

Dopamine is often associated with motivation and reward. It is released when we accomplish goals, experience success, or engage in pleasurable activities. To hack your dopamine levels, set small achievable goals and celebrate each accomplishment. Engage in activities that bring you joy and provide a sense of fulfillment. Stay organized and break tasks into smaller, manageable steps to experience a continuous flow of dopamine as you progress.

Serotonin: The Mood Stabilizer

Serotonin is responsible for regulating mood, feelings of happiness, and overall well-being. To increase serotonin levels, engage in activities that promote relaxation and inner peace, such as practicing meditation, spending time in nature, or engaging in creative pursuits. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people who lift your spirits. Regular exercise and a balanced diet also contribute to serotonin production.

Endorphins: The Natural Painkillers

Endorphins are our body’s natural painkillers and mood enhancers. They are released during exercise, laughter, and enjoyable activities. Engage in regular physical exercise to trigger endorphin release. Try high-intensity workouts, dance classes, or outdoor activities that get your heart pumping. Laughing, engaging in hobbies, and listening to uplifting music are also great ways to boost endorphin levels.

Oxytocin: The Love Hormone

Oxytocin is often released during social bonding and feelings of connection. To increase oxytocin, spend quality time with loved ones, engage in acts of kindness and generosity, and build strong, supportive relationships. Hugs, cuddling, and physical affection also stimulate oxytocin release. Additionally, owning a pet or volunteering for a cause you care about can also boost oxytocin levels.

Being a woman is not easy at all. One of the main problems that females are often facing are hormone imbalances. Irregular periods, acne, and mood changes are just a part of the signs your body is going through something. One of the latest healthy trends getting great reviews is seed cycling.

What Is Seed Cycling?

This is a very healthy way to achieve hormonal balance with the use of the ingredients found in seeds. It can significantly help with irregular periods, boost fertility, and is beneficial for women who are struggling with conditions such as cystic ovaries, endometriosis, and more.

The process is very easy and literally, anyone can do it. You should do it in two phases that are connected to your monthly cycle. The cycle should last 28 days, but not all women have the same experience. If your cycle lasts longer, simply divide it into two halves.

During the first phase called follicular (day 1- day 14) your estrogen levels are high. It starts on the same day as your period. You should eat 1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds and 1 tablespoon of freshly ground flaxseed each day during these two weeks.

The second, luteal phase (day 15- day 28), is when your progesterone is high. Eat 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds and 1 tablespoon of freshly ground sesame seeds each day of the second phase.
