Honey butter is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. You can put this on biscuits, chicken, or just toast in the morning with a little cinnamon on top.
To make it, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter with 1/3 cup of honey with either a whisk or an electric mixer until smooth. Add in some sea salt if you want a slightly salty edge, and you’re done!
Compound Butter
Compound butter is a fancy way to say herb butter, and it is so delicious when you’re cooking with meat, especially steak.
To make it, let 1 cup of unsalted butter soften. Add it to a bowl with 1 1/2 teaspoons of lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 clove of garlic finely minced, 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley, and another 1 1/2 tablespoons of any other herb like sage, thyme, or whatever your friend likes! Mix it together until it’s well combined, roll it into a log with plastic wrap, and then chill to solidify it!
