This way, no one is awkwardly catching the eye of another guest in a mirror set at head height, but the glass will reflect all of the ornaments you’ve added to the table, providing another layer of interest and decoration.
A big bouquet of fresh or dried flowers set in the center of the table helps to draw the eye to the middle of the table. Whatever colors are in this bouquet, reference them in plants and flowers you dot along the table. This will create a sense of a theme, even if you’ve just grabbed any plants you have around the house. If the pots are distracting from your theme, wrap them in simple paper for the duration of the meal.
