]]>For this bleach, you will need to combine 2/3 cup of washing soda along with 10 drops of lemon essential oil. If you can’t find washing soda, you can actually make it at home by spreading baking soda in a 1/2 inch layer in a baking dish and baking for 1 hour at 400 F. Stir once or twice during the process and you have your washing soda. Add the washing soda and lemon mixture into 4 cups of hot water to dissolve.
To use it, just pour this solution into a bucket with about 25-30 cups of room temperature water and 1-2 cups of hydrogen peroxide. You can then soak your clothes right in the bucket, or fill up spray bottles and use it to clean.

]]>Whether you have a moldy wooden cutting board that needs cleaning or a wooden countertop, using bleach is not the answer. Bleach can be used in the bathroom to clean mold from the ceiling, it won’t be effective on your wood products unforgotten.
Stainless steel and bleach definitely don’t mix, chemically speaking. Because bleach has ingredients in it that oxidize materials, you want to keep it as far as you can from stainless steel and other metals, or the bleach will oxidize and corrode it. This reaction can ruin your stainless steel refrigerators, pots, pans, and more, so go for a bleach-less sanitizing solution.
Although bleach can sometimes be used to get really hard stains out of granite, you really should avoid using it. Granite is a porous stone which means the bleach will soak into the counter top which is not what you want.
