]]>This magical tunnel of cascading flowers can be found at the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu. It’s located in close proximity to Japan’s sixth largest city of Fukuoka, but once you get there – you’ll probably never want to leave.
Kawachi Fuji Gardens are home to about 150 wisteria plants, featuring a total of 20 species, in different shades of white, blue, purple and pink. This amazing variety of colorful hanging flowers is the reason why Wisteria Tunnel looks straight out of fairy tale.
Wisteria Tunnel isn’t one of those tourist spots you can visit any time you want. It abides to the rules of nature, and that’s why it looks best during the spring. If you’re going to Japan and want to pay a visit to this whimsical passageway, make sure to do it in late April or early May, when flowers are in full bloom.
