]]>For wide-mouth candles, place you candle on a protective surface, like a dish towel or a potholder and boil enough water to fill the candle jar and pour it into the container, leaving an inch of space at the top. Wait and watch the candle wax float to the top. Wait for it to cool before removing the wax and strain the water and remaining candle parts.
You can also put the candle in the freezer overnight to shrink the wax and remove it. In the morning flip the candle upside down and the wax should come right out.
To get rid of wax from many candles at once, preheat your oven to 200 F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place you candle upside down on the foil. After about 15 minutes, the wax should come out onto the foil. Then, remove it from the oven and let it cool before cleaning it with soap and warm water.
Have you removed candle wax from your carpet with your hair dryer? Hair dryers can soften the wax, making it easier to remove. Hold your candle with an oven mitt and turn on your hair dryer to heat the candle’s wax from the sides and bottom. When the wax is soft, lift or scrape it out of the container with a butter knife.
