Yum. Starbucks. Just the thought of a latte, Frappuccino, macchiato, or cold brew has our mouths watering. But if you’re trying to be healthier, Starbucks isn’t the first place you go for your caffeine fix. The drinks are delicious, but they’re also full of carbs, fats, and sugar. But, you can still enjoy your favorites and follow your healthy lifestyle with some small tweaks. Here’s how to make your Starbucks order healthier.

Go Wihout Sweeteners

The drinks are already super sweet already, so there’s really no need to add sugar or extra syrup. If you want your drink to be a little sweeter, add sweeteners, cinnamon, or cocoa.

Try Alternative Milk

Starbucks uses whole milk in their drinks unless you ask otherwise. But they also have 2% milk, nonfat milk, soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, and oat milk. These changes will make your drink healthier and if you’re lactose intolerant, it’s even better for you.

Customize Syrup Pumps

One of the best things about Starbucks is all of the syrups they offer. From caramel and hazelnut to vanilla and cinnamon dolce, syrups add tons of flavor to the drinks, but you probably don’t need as many as the barista is adding to your drink. Ask for fever pumps or try the sugar-free syrups.

Skip the Whipped Cream

Whipped cream is like the cherry on top of a drink—it’s yummy, but it’s unnecessary. If you can’t think about skipping the whip, ask for the light option.

Get a Tall

If you don’t want to make any changes to your drink, that’s totally fine. Perhaps just order a tall instead of a grande or venti.
